The spirit of the Hotels du Faubourg Saint-Germain

The Spirit
of
the Hôtels du Faubourg Saint-Germain
.
The Hôtels du Faubourg Saint-Germain
group three neighbour hotels in the 7th district of Paris
in the Saint-Germain des Prés area
.
Hôtel Saint Vincent
.
Hôtel Saint Thomas d'Aquin
.
Hôtel Lenox Saint Germain
.
The decor has been realised inspired by the aristocratic private mansions of the area.
About 300 grand houses have been built by the great French families in the neighbourhood since the 18th century.
.
The style of the Hôtels du Faubourg Saint-Germain mixes several genres:
- the comfortable ambiance of the countryside properties of the aristocracy, who came in Paris and Versailles with a part of their furniture
- the refine elegance of the private mansions of our 7th district
- and a contemporary style, in an harmony of warm tones: parm, beige, brown, chocolate and red.
.
Our hotels try to recreate the atmosphere of the Faubourg Saint-Germain described in The Search of the lost time. Marcel Proust describes this aristocratic style, a mix between Paris and country: "Still in contact with the lands where they were sovereigns, a certain aristocracy stays regional, so that the most simple talk has the power to reveal in front of our eyes a complete historic and geographic map of the history of France."
.
Between Parisian chic and provincial comfort, our hotels want to give to our clients a part of this very particular charm of the Faubourg Saint-Germain.
